TEDx Heriot-Watt University Dubai

The theme Skyward was chosen to evoke ambition, openness, and a sense of looking beyond present boundaries. It suggests upward movement and possibility, while remaining broad enough to be interpreted in many different ways.

At its core, the theme is about exploring what could come next. We are interested in ideas that challenge assumptions, rethink familiar problems, reveal overlooked possibilities, or introduce new ways of understanding the world around us.

The theme is intentionally multidisciplinary and welcomes speakers from technology, science, engineering, business, design, education, culture, the arts, society, and beyond. Talks do not need to be explicitly about the future; they simply need to offer an idea, perspective, or insight that takes the audience somewhere new.
